E L U C I D is an artist and educator from New York City. His latest project, "Valley of Grace" (2017) is a self-produced effort written in South Africa that Pitchfork called "thoughtful, considered, and among the most ambitious rap records to come out this year."  The Backwoodz release of 2016's "Osage" EP and his breakout album, "Save Yourself" introduced listeners to his unique sound synthesis of noise, punk, hip hop, and soul.  As a member of the group Armand Hammer with Billy Woods, their "Race Music" LP and "Furtive Movements" EP garnered praise from the Village Voice as one of the 10 best NYC rap albums in both 2013 and 2014, respectively.  E L U C I D has recorded and toured with indie rap’s most celebrated artists, including Open Mike Eagle, Busdriver, Milo, Beans, and High Priest from the group Antipop Consortium.
